Arriving in Paris in 1976 I was fortunate to find a fully equipped woodworkshop at 59 rue de Charonne in the Faubourg St.Antoine.
At that time there were numerous lumber yards in the quartier with a fantastic choice of wood, also hardware shops(quincailliers), varnish suppliers, and all the other workshops of the furniture trade.
